Dr. Kate Toth, CHRL, ACC-ICF

Kate Toth is an executive coach, organizational consultant, and researcher dedicated to strengthening the women who sustain Canada's nonprofit sector.

As a Board Director of the Women's Nonprofit Network, Kate brings more than 25 years of experience working alongside nonprofit and public sector leaders — primarily women — navigating the realities of mission-driven work: burnout, under-resourcing, leadership transitions, and the particular pressures of leading with high purpose and limited margin.

Kate co-leads YMCA WorkWell, a social enterprise within the YMCA of Three Rivers that partners with nonprofit, public, and private organizations to measure employee experience and translate those insights into practical, values-aligned action. In this role, she works with executive teams and boards across Canada to interpret complex data, strengthen organizational culture, and coach leaders toward sustainable effectiveness.

Kate holds the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation from the International Coaching Federation and is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL). She has a PhD in Health Psychology and an MS in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, both with applied focus on leadership, well-being, and organizational culture.

Kate has held faculty and academic leadership roles at Conestoga College and Fanshawe College, and began her career in human resources at McMaster University's School of Nursing, where she built and led the HR function for a department of 350+ staff.

She is passionate about creating spaces where women leaders feel genuinely supported — and about building the evidence base that makes that support credible, sustainable, and scalable.
