Kyla’s passion for the non-profit sector has continuously grown since she had her first volunteer role at age 13.

While completing her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, Kyla volunteered at the Sexual Assault Center in Kingston where she provided volunteer counselling services to survivors of sexual assault.

Throughout her time in this space, she observed that while women are often the driving force and subject matter experts in non-profit spaces, they frequently face challenges such as burnout and difficulty in advancing their career.

Kyla is a graduate of Queen's University and recently completed her master's degree in management at Western University. She currently works in operations at an insurance company and outside of work enjoys outdoor activities and travelling.
